
Ashley Olsen, LIMHP is a warm, compassionate therapist with over a decade of experience supporting individuals and families across diverse mental health settings, including five years as a clinical therapist. She brings a deep passion for mental wellness and healing, and considers it a privilege to walk alongside clients as they navigate life’s challenges.
Ashley earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology and her Master of Social Work from Brigham Young University. While her primary experience has been in private practice, her professional background is both diverse and robust. She has worked within a vocational rehabilitation program, served as a crisis line volunteer, and gained valuable clinical experience as a psychology technician in both an inpatient psychiatric hospital and a state prison. These varied settings have shaped her broad clinical perspective and deepened her empathy for individuals from all walks of life.
Being present with individuals during their most vulnerable moments has reinforced Ashley’s commitment to creating a safe, welcoming, and nonjudgmental therapeutic space. She strongly values the therapeutic relationship, believing that feeling genuinely seen, heard, and understood is foundational to meaningful healing.
Ashley practices from a trauma-informed lens and utilizes evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS). She works with concerns such as trauma, anxiety, and depression, with a particular emphasis on helping clients understand their nervous system, regulate emotions, and develop practical coping skills that support both day-to-day functioning and long-term well-being. In addition to individual work, Ashley has a special interest in couples therapy and utilizes Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to help couples repair relationship ruptures by deepening understanding of one another’s emotional needs.
Ashley is deeply invested in understanding each client’s unique story and partnering with them to identify and harness their inner strengths to heal wounded or painful parts. She is committed to providing thoughtful, client-centered, and individualized care that honors each person’s unique story, strengths, and capacity for healing.
